What are cake balls?
Cake balls have been around for quite awhile and many different cultures have been doing them for years, but this new craze is still new to some. Cake balls are cake and icing mixed together then dipped in chocolate or some kind of candy coating then decorated. Some people refer to cake balls as cake truffles, which are almost the same thing just with a softer inside. I do both the cake ball and cake truffle, but I call them all cake balls. They can range in size and be made out of endless combination of flavors. I make mine about the size of a mini cupcake, still bite size but big enough to be satisfying. If you haven't had a cake ball before I suggest you try one and see what all the noise is about, I don't think you will be disappointed. In fact most people become hooked after their first one. If you haven't had a cake ball or just want to taste one on mine before placing a large order just ask. I would love to help you get hooked. :)
